For over 57 years he continually traversed the highways and byways of North America with his uplifting, thoughtful songs of geography, romance, joy, and tales of the folks he met along the way. Just a few weeks before his death, he did a house concert for "River City Folk"in La Center Washington- which was recorded with an accompanying interview. Bill was a friend and inspiration for over 40 years, and we are privileged to offer this, one of his final performances, on this memorial program.

Nobody sounds like Curtis and Loretta, and you can rely on them to be relentlessly entertaining!

    About: What can I say about David Rea? This is the first program I recorded with this mercurial, important picker, songwriter and raconteur. From his early work on Gordon Lightfoot's first album and his sideman duties with Ian and Sylvia, to his final years in Portland Oregon- David left behind a trail of great songs and stories. He was my dear pal, and we did many performances together. He was one of a kind.

A folksinger and social activist for more than 50 years, Jim Page's songs have been recorded by many other artists- and he remains active, vital and engaged.
